I'm a little slow on reacting but I can certainly do my part and then some...

This is what I do: I send the link to our articles to my journalist network here in Sweden, but I have no way of knowing if you get any traffic that way. I also use several FB groups, from where I can see how many have shared, and it seems to be a lot. All that generates traffic to the main site of course.

Then I have a suggestion: Let articles stay on top for 5-7 days before you put up a new one, also tell people why they should read the articles; when you write them, have someone else plug them. I think that would make the main front page more alive and up to date.

:)

We've been stuck on page two, sometimes at the top and sometimes in the middle, for at least 3 months! Google is a tough cookie...just like wikipedia.

Ok.

If I delete the bookmark it kinda encourages me to do the right thing.

Done.

Leave Stan alone IT is a hassle or so says some I know.

BUT...

I went to google.com,

searched for "assassinationofjfk",

The Home site showed up Number 1.

Forum under that listing also num 1.

WTheqq.

Hope this means something grand.

Lemme dump my browser cache and check again.

Did that, repeated the google search with same results.

FYI

Jim,

Most people are not going to type "assassinationofjfk" into google. They would type, assassination of jfk -- including the spaces. The reason it is coming up on page one for you when you type it the other way is because my site is not competing with any other site for the key word "assassinationofjfk." It is, however, competing with many sites that use the key word/phrase "assassination of JFK".

Recently I checked the search engines to see how the site was doing.  Without exception, every SE not owned by the lords of Google had AssassinationOfJFK.net above the fold on page one.

Google is a stubborn bitch.  Or maybe something more...

Yahoo! is my homepage.  We're page 1, halfway down - just below MaryFerrell.org and McAdams' site.

Christine, I'm in southern Kentucky, as well…  Not a native, just a transplant.  :-)
