I would like to project those in a 3D model.

TIA,

-Ramon

ps: I cannot post any image larger than 11.64KB and each time I post anything, that limits goes further down.  I have the exact same problem in the Education Forum.

Google "JFK xrays" and then set the results to only LARGE images

http://assassination.../pittsburgh.pdf   is Mantik's work in PDF which usually has pretty high res images you can copy.

Thanks, David. That is an excellent resource, but would like to find even better copies. Let's say I went to the National Archives (which I won't). Do they allow copies of the x-rays to be made?

My question is in reference to this:

I would like to project the 2 well-known autopsy X-rays (AP and lateral) unto a 3D model.

Sorry for the delay Ramon...  With such little activity here I don't check in as often as I should...

I'm pretty sure they don't even allow visitors to handle the evidence any longer but only photos of the originals... John Armstrong, a friend, remembers when he saw the backs of all the evidence to find the DPD intials to compare to the inventory lists.  He discovered quite a lot of the evidence which came back from the FBI that weekend did NOT have the DPD initials - meaning the FBI added items to the evidence when they returned it the following week, only to take it back again...

I'm pretty sure you will find that the two xrays you desire are mutually exclusive.

Many of the HSCA images can be purchased from the archives.  I purchased the skull x ray images and I think the total cost was ~ $40.  You can contact the archives in College Park directly and ask for someone in the special access and FOIA dept., and let them know that you need to purchase images from the HSCA report.

I have seen the autopsy photographs and x-rays in books. Did NARA make them available?

Any photographs that have been published in books throughout the years were not obtained from NARA.

The autopsy photographs and X-rays of President Kennedy were donated to the National Archives by the Kennedy family by an agreement dated October 29, 1966. This agreement limits access to such materials to: (1) persons authorized to act for a Committee of Congress, a Presidential Commission, or any other official agency of the Federal government having authority to investigate matters relating to the assassination of President Kennedy and to (2) recognized experts in the field of pathology or related areas of science and technology whose applications are approved by the Kennedy family representative, Mr. Paul Kirk.
